“The mood of the pioneer, the wanderlust of the pagan traveller exploring the universe of Roberto Cavalli, is the inspiration for Creative Director Peter Dundas’ spring/summer 2017 Roberto Cavalli collection. A melange of inspirations and influences, times and places, she wears her world, combining different cultures in a mix that feels quintessentially now and uniquely Cavalli.” – www.robertocavalli.com
Love at first sight.
That’s how I feel about Roberto Cavalli’s Spring/Summer 2017 collection.
As the say, the devil is in the details and the detail here is exquisite. There are so many elements incorporated into this collection, they definitely ignored the whole “less is more” mantra. From tassels and layers, to florals and bright yet earthy tones, hints of gold and breathtaking embroidery, plus ruffles and fringing, beading and feathers. Peter Dundas and the uber talented team at Roberto Cavalli have managed to integrate hints of western, whispers of Eastern, a touch of African, a nod to Navaho and a little Moroccan, all colliding to form a “luxury bohemian gypsy” look.
